Just ask any of the physicians who will present the latest ways to cheat, treat and beat breast cancer at the 15th annual free Breast Cancer Awareness event sponsored by Los Robles Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93065.
Presenting the latest clinical updates on breast cancer is a panel of leading medical experts including Lynn Meyering, M.D., speaking on "Who Gets Breast Cancer?"; Catherine Moses, M.D., discussing "Better Screening by Advances in Imaging Technology"; Shawn Steen, M.D., describing "The Surgical Management of Breast Cancer"; Martin Palmer, M.D.; explaining "New Drug Therapies: Are They Safer, Better?"; Paul Miller, M.D., speaking on "Radiation Treatment of Breast Cancer: What’s New?"; and Mai Brooks, M.D., discussing "Reconstructive Surgery: Who, When, How". Ashwin Kashyap, M.D. will serve as Program Facilitator.
Adding an element of entertainment is television personality Bob Eubanks, who will show how laughter is the best medicine by sharing many of his humorous show business experiences with the audience. His message of keeping a positive attitude and seeing the best in people and situations, no matter how difficult the challenge, resonates with every age group.
The uniquely individually designed and decorated "CUPS OF COURAGE - The Sisterhood of the Traveling Bras" will be on display along with numerous informational booths.
