Few experiences compare to the joy of bringing a new baby into the world. We know that pregnancy and childbirth are exciting and challenging experiences that begin with developing a bond that lasts a lifetime.
That’s why at Los Robles Hospital, our Birthing Center is dedicated to providing you with a birth experience that can be shared as a family.
Birthing Rooms
Our birthing center features nine private Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDR) Rooms. Each LDR offers you and your family the amenities that help make your birthing experience enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. The LDRs are furnished with a birthing bed, lounge chair, private bathroom, television, telephone, and the latest in technological clinical resources. Free wireless internet is available throughout the hospital.
Should you have a cesarean birth, our two specially designed surgical suites are easily accessible within the birthing center. Our neonatal team will care for your baby while your obstetrician cares for you. Your partner is invited to remain with you so that both of you may welcome your newborn together.
When Baby Arrives
After your baby is born, we encourage you to bond with your baby immediately. As part of our “mother-baby” program, the same nurse will care for you and your baby. Certified lactation nurses are also available to help you with breastfeeding.
NICU
We are pleased to provide our parents with an impressive resource - a 12-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Infants with special needs will receive medically advanced care from board certified neonatologists on staff at the hospital and our NICU clinical team. For many parents, just knowing that the skill and technology of the NICU is available – just a few steps away – provides extra feelings of reassurance, comfort and security through childbirth.

We offer a complete education program for you and your family to answer the important questions you have about pregnancy and childbirth. Our variety of classes include:

Visiting
Because of the spread of germs and safety issues, we have set a very definitive visiting policy that allows for all siblings of newborns, no matter their age, to visit their mother and new brother or sister. In addition, children 10 years of age and older, are welcomed to visit in patient areas.
