Baby in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

For our youngest patients, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has been taking care of tiny miracles for 25 years.

The expert staff at the 12-bed Level III NICU include:

  • Neonatologists
  • Neonatal nurses
  • Respiratory therapists

A Level III designation means that infants born at less than 32-weeks and weighing less than 3.3 pounds have access to specialized care 24-hours-a day.

Los Robles NICU provides critical medical and surgical care including mechanical ventilation and high-frequency mechanical ventilation—devices to support premature and developing lungs—as well as minor surgical procedures such as umbilical vessel catheterization. We recently added Neuro Telemedicine for monitoring EEG and seizure consults as well.

Introducing NICVIEWTM

Los Robles is pleased to soon welcome NICVIEW—an innovative web camera that allows parents, family and friends to view their infant in real-time, 24/7 through a secure on-line portal. The next best thing to being there, NICVIEW® can help reduce the stress and anxiety mothers may feel when being separated from their newborn.
