Thousand Oaks, CA – Los Robles Health System, physicians, leaders and clinicians gathered to celebrate its achievement as the only Wound Care Center in Southern California to receive the Healogics®, Clinical Excellence Award. This award is given to wound care centers scoring in the top 10 percent of eligible wound care centers in the United States for the 2019 calendar year on the clinical excellence measure, which is the comprehensive healing rate weighted by wound mix. The Center was also recognized with the Center of Distinction award for the third year in a row, by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center of Distinction award means that the Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 median days to heal. This is the third time in a row that the Center has received this honor. “To be able to receive this award three years in a row reflects the commitment of our patients to their health, the commitment of our staff and the collaborative care received by the home health nurses,” says Dr. Mark Suski, Medical Director of the Wound Center and Chief of Staff at Los Robles Health System, “We are pleased to continuously provide State of the Art Wound Care to our community.”
There were 601 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award and 367 achieved the honor. “We celebrate the dedicated efforts of our Wound Care Team. This award is an important recognition of the team’s commitment to excellence and validates our multidisciplinary approach,” says Dr. Trung Bui. “It’s an honor to receive this award, it reflects the collective work of our staff,” adds Dr. Sujay Dutta.
