We want to make you aware that a labor union, SEIU 121RN, has formally notified us of its intention to strike from 7:00am on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, until 7:00am on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023.
We have contracted with high-quality backup staff to be fully operational in the event of a strike. Importantly, there will be no closure of any service lines at this time. Our doors will remain open, and we will continue to care for you and our community with the same dedication and excellence as always.
While we recognize the rights of our healthcare workers to engage in union activities, we want to assure you that safety remains our top priority. We are fortunate to be part of the national HCA Healthcare system that provides significant resources for us to care for all healthcare needs throughout a strike.
We are disappointed by the union’s decision and think it is absolutely unnecessary, given the serious efforts we have invested in bargaining since May. It’s evident the labor union has not taken these sessions seriously and has intended to strike all along, despite our genuine attempts at finding common ground.
